MISSION
The mission of XCEL Lacrosse Training. is to provide superior training to athletes using state-of-the-art techniques and philosophies, along with cutting-edge equipment while providing a safe and disciplined environment that focuses on teaching the athlete to train at the highest possible level of effort and intelligence.
PHILOSOPHY OF TRAINING
Our Philosophy here at XCEL is to teach the WHAT, WHY, and HOW of Athletic Development. The “What” is sprinting, accelerating, movement, balance, agility, power, and flexibility. The “Why” is why our technique and machnics are so vital. The “How” is how to perform our drills and technique properly.
XCEL SRENGTH TRAINING PROGRAM
The myths surrounding young athletes and strength training are usually based on reports of injuries incurred in the course of training.Yet such injuries are nearly always the result of poor technique. Indeed, the real danger facing most athletes is improper training and a lack of physical preparation. At XCEL, every training session follows a unique and carefully structured lesson plan that is designed to provide balanced development while maximizing results. Athletes work together yet progress at their own rate, gaining strength and knowledge that that not only helps them achieve their full potential in the sport of Lacrosse, but invests them with fitness tools that will benefit them for a lifetime.
XCEL PRE-SEASON TRAINING PROGRAM - CONDITIONING AND SKILLS
Our Pre-Seaon Training Program is a regimented approach of combining optimal movement, functional strength, plyometric and explosive power, functional flexibility, and recovery. Focused on speed and movement training to enhance all areas of athletic performance, the program's goal is not simply to run fast, but to play fast. Playing fast consists of running fast, reacting fast, and recovering fast. The goal of playing fast is met by three objectives: improve speed, improve agility and improve conditioning.
