15 Sessions Of Lacrosse Training!

2020 XCEL LACROSSE PERFORMANCE TRAINING PROGRAM DATES AND TIMES WILL BE COMING SOON!

Wednesday and Friday will be Lacrosse training and Conditioning:
  Long before the first game begins, LAX players should be training. In the off season we believe athletes should start slowly, building their foundation of flexibility and mobility. Start by doing a large number of movements, with minimal loading. Exercises should concentrate on technical mastery, increasing range of motion and working in multiple planes of the body.

Thursday will dedicated to physical work:
  As the athlete builds a base, we move into a strength phase where we decrease the number of exercises and increase external loads. Volume of repetition comes down and weight comes up. At this stage it is important for coaches to test, calibrate and prepare the athletes for preseason.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED: Stick, gloves, helmet, arm-pads, shoulder pads, mouth piece, sneakers or molded cleats (no metal cleats) and water.

GENERAL INFO: Lacrosse Performance’s XCEL Training Program: Each week of our 5 week program consists of three sessions. Our program is designed this way to properly train players for the rigors of the up-coming season. Our unique lacrosse training program will help you reach your lacrosse potential and make an impact this spring. A lacrosse training program must be carefully balanced with the rigors of one of the most strenuous team sports. The sport requires the physical and performance qualities of most other sports combined. Players must possess strength, power, speed, agility and endurance. Players are almost constantly moving as they attempt to maneuver the ball into the goal.

We will help you focus on the important aspects of your game and achieve your personal and performance goals.

Each session will be divided up into two segments. The first segment will focus on Speed and Agility training. You will be trained by certified full-time performance trainers at XCEL’s world class facilities using proven techniques to help you reach your maximum athletic abilities. While the other segment will focus on stick skills, footwork and other lacrosse specific skills with our very talented coaching staff.

Each XCEL Pre-Season Training session will include a Dynamic Warm-Up and a Movement component. The Dynamic Warm-Up will incorporate general mobility, muscle activation and performance preparation exercises in a 15 minute segment to ready the athletes for the work to follow. The Movement Segment will include 30 minutes of movement skill, energy system development and sport specific strength and power to improve the performance of lacrosse players of every level.
